Résumé
Muthu, a villager, loves Lakshmi but she falls in love with his educated brother, Kannan. Kannan is forced to eke out a living in the big city after he loses money gambling, but is soon estranged from Lakshmi by her plotting sister Leela. Does Lakshmi unite with Kannan?
